birthday party Instructor

Girls & Boys With Confidence is looking for instructors it assist us in running our amazing and unique birthday parties at our center located at 10540 Browning Road, Lithia FL 33547.  We are looking for people who have a passion for empowering youth and want to give back.

Instructor would primarily lead a structured birthday party based on the package and theme the parents have purchased.  These packages can run from 2 to 3 hours in length and would also include 1 hour set-up time and 30 min. to 1 hour clean up time.  Typical birthday party hours are 4-5 hours of time.  Please keep in mind, we are new to hosting birthday parties, some months are busier than others, so we can not promise a certain number of hours each week or month.

Applicants MUST have experience working in a group setting with children, teaching, OR professional business experience. PLEASE don't apply unless you meet these requirements and understand this is not the role for you if you are in need of a certain number of hours or income.  

ROLES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Facilitate groups and interact with girls &/or boys ages 5-18 years old
• Deliver a structured and pre-written "confidence & character" building discussion
• Embrace & get excited to share our adorable petting farm & center animals (you must LOVE animals and be ok with getting a little sweaty when touring the kids on our farm)
• Demonstrate excellent presentation skills - dynamic, energetic, and engaging
• Availability and flexibility is expected.  We will provide at least 10 day notice, most parties are booked 3-4 weeks out 
• Lead by example and foster a culture of positivity and building confidence with our girls &/or boys
• Serve as a positive example by modeling attributes such as kindness, reliability, respect for others, inclusiveness, and a positive attitude
• Ensure that each themed party aligns to our expectations by following our itinerary and utilizing materials provided
• Must be high energy and enthusiastic
• Foster diversity by understanding, respecting, and embracing differences
  
• Prepare, setup, breakdown of each birthday party
• You must be responsible- show up on time, not cancel or turn down more assigned than you accept
• You MUST be at least 16 years old to apply

Part-time: Pay is based on 2-3 hour classes- depending on experience, pay is a minimum of $15/hr.  Experienced applicants may receive $20/hr.
